In order to succeed in PQRI reporting, it is crucial to know and understand the failure points of the process.
1. IDENTIFY ELIGIBLE ENCOUNTERS

leaves no room for error! A provider is expected to report on 30 consecutive patient encounters. A single miss and you lose your bonus! No retries are accepted for Group Measures Reporting.
3. DETERMINE THE NUMERATOR FOR ANY ENCOUNTER
CMS expects a Quality Measure Report for any eligible Quality Measure, even if the procedure was not performed. CMS bonus compliance is determined by 100% reporting of what services were performed or not performed.
4. MANAGE THE SUBMISSION PROCESS
The practice should manage the submission process to verify any Quality Measures the biller may have failed to report.
